"A most stately plant, can be 6 feet (1.8 m.) tall (1.8 m.), with large decorative flower heads. Likes deep moist soil. Also useful dried in flower arranging. Young stems can be candied, or cooked with rhubarb to remove acidity. Seeds can be used as a flavouring, dried leaves as tea (to reduce flatulence). Very hardy. Culinary uses. Pot-pourri. Biennial."
